Kevin Link grew up in Scouting. He was a Cub Scout, earned his Arrow of Light, bridged over into Boy Scouts and earned the Eagle Scout Rank. And so, when he had sons he knew he wanted to get them involved in Scouting.
As his boys grew up, Mr. Link became the Scoutmaster of Troop 304 chartered to The Lovett School in Vinings, GA. During his time there he sat for over 70 Scoutmaster Conferences with Eagle Scouts, including all three of his sons.
Mr. Link’s youngest was one of twelve Scouts who grew up together in Pack and Troop 304, from Tiger Cubs to the Eagle Scout rank. Their close bond and competitive nature, he says, was key to getting all twelve through the rank advancement process.
As the long-time Scoutmaster of The Lovett School’s Troop 304, Kevin Link wanted to offer some words of wisdom to fellow leaders and parents to supplement the story of his twelve Eagles.
Eagle Scout Kevin Link has recently retired as Scoutmaster of Troop 304 at The Lovett School. He has three Eagle Scout sons, the youngest of which we featured in our story on The Twelve Lovett Eagle Scouts.
