Popcorn Shortage? Pack 703 Can Help!

Cub Scout Pack 703, in the Silver Comet District, has come up with a fun and innovative way to help sell popcorn this year.

Traditionally, the Scouts would use more conventional and person to person contact to garner support. While 2020 has presented its share of challenges, Pack 703 has risen to the challenge and delivered an incredible solution!

Meredith Howard, Pack Leader said, “With the assistance of their Wolf Den Leader, Casey Pflieger, our Scouts made a video. It’s not just any video- it’s Breaking News! Every Scout in the Pack played a role in the video including reporters, chefs, scientists, call-center support, economists, Cub Scout officials and more!

The Scouts video has helped them raise over $4000 in sales already to use for their next Scouting adventure! Not only is their video a great sales tool, it has also helped them to fulfill their skit requirements and brought them closer as a Pack during these times at home.

Pack 703 said it’s thriving and hopes to do even more this year, by expanding membership and community service projects. Soon, the Pack will engage in a community service initiative by cleaning Lake Allatoona and the Pack completed an aluminum can drive to support Recycle for Good.
