Scouting Helped Him Save a Friend’s Life

Jordan Mercure is a Scout from Marietta, Georgia. His story is an incredible example of how Scouting impacted his life from such a young and impressionable age for the better and changed his outlook for his future.

Jordan started in Scouting as a Cub Scout and 11 years later earned the Eagle Scout Rank.

In May of 2019, Jordan graduated from Marietta High School with a 4.02 GPA and Engineering Pathway Completion, after a year of participation in the dual enrollment program at Chattahoochee Technical College.

He is seeking a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Design and is a member of the Auburn University Formula SAE racing team, War Eagle Motorsports. After college, Jordan wishes to pursue jobs in the engineering and design, or business fields.

“Scouting has not only gifted me with leaders to look up to and friends to carry on with my journies, but it has helped me through hardships that I never knew I would need help with.”

Jordan just began his freshman year at Auburn University, and he continues to recall and embrace what Scouting has taught him through his journey.
