Scoutmaster John Cherry Watched His Scouts Grow Up

Being a Scoutmaster for fourteen years, John Cherry worked with dozens of ScoutsĀ in Troop 525. He and his Scouts went on numerous adventures. He worked with them on rank advancements, merit badges and other endeavors along their Trail to Eagle.

One Scout sticks out in his mind from his time as Scoutmaster. A young boy who had a hard time on his first few camp outs. One that got homesick easily and was always ready to be warm and dry. That Scout is now a Ranger at Philmont, and John Cherry got to watch him grow up through that whole process.

John Cherry is a Wood Badge Staffer and Council volunteer. He served as a Scoutmaster for fourteen years and is still active as a committee member in Troop 525 in Norcross.
